John R. Smith
President
John Smith is the founder and President of Alliance Cooling. He started Alliance Cooling (then Smith & Beckel) in 1987 and is now a well known cooling tower industry veteran. John has decades of experience and a stellar reputation based on a profound commitment to customer service and quality. As a knowledgeable leader, John enjoys teaching and mentoring the Alliance team. During his semi-retirement John likes to spend time fishing, hunting and sharing time with his five grandchildren
Sheri R. Smith
Vice President
Sheri Smith is the Vice President and runs the Alliance team’s daily operations. Her exceptional leadership skills combined with vast knowledge of the cooling tower industry serves as a valuable resource to the company. Sheri’s enthusiastic outlook and people skills make her the perfect motivating force for Alliance. “We promote a team spirit among our employees by offering an environment in which they are appreciated, motivated and proud of their work. We strongly believe in our people/ team, they stand to grow with us, and provide consistent, first-rate service for our company.”
Mike Smith
Senior Construction Manager
With over 20 years of experience within the cooling tower industry Mike Smith joined Alliance in 1996 under the direction of his father John R. Smith and Joe McBurney. Over the years Mike has moved up through the company and now serves as the Senior Construction/Sales Manager. Prior to joining the Alliance team, Mike was employed with PG&E based at the Geysers Geothermal Plant. Feel free to contact Mike with any of your cooling tower needs.
Arturo Pureco
Inspector / Field Construction Coordinator
Arturo joined the Alliance team in 2018, bringing with him over 17 years of experience in the cooling tower industry. His expertise spans several critical areas, including safety training, production management, job scheduling, and job costing. Arturo’s deep knowledge and hands-on approach make him a valuable asset to the Alliance organization.
Arturo is committed to providing exceptional service and is available most any time to assist customers. Whether you require cooling tower part sales, repairs, or general services, Arturo is prepared to help. His friendly and professional approach ensures that every client receives the support they need, no matter the scope or location of the project.
Jose Gudino
Project/Safety Manager
Jose is a dedicated professional with over 29 years of experience in the cooling industry, specializing in safety management and project oversight. Currently, he has served as the Safety Manager and Project Manager at Alliance Cooling since 1998.
Jose is a valuable resource across multiple departments, adept at overseeing project supervision, scheduling, and safety training. He is committed to maintaining a safe work environment and fostering safety practices among field personnel.
